This hardy deciduous azalea has fresh pink blossoms with a dark pink blotch, medium green leaves that turn a decent red fall colour, and a moderate growth rate. It blooms in mid to late spring and will grow to 3 feet tall by 3 to 4 feet wide in full sun or partial shade. It grows best in an acidic soil (which is easily done) and is very winter hardy too.

Berberis thunbergia 'Concorde'
This new barberry is one of the smallest purple-leaf barberries available, growing into a small, tight and compact mound. It is ideal for colour accent use in the garden or mass planting, or even as an edging. The new growth is red, providing an interesting color contrast to the deep purple mature leaves that turn an outstanding scarlet in the fall. Tiny clusters of yellow flowers that hang below the branches appear in mid-spring, and once pollinated they form tiny scarlet drupes (hard fruit) that are displayed into the late fall. It grows to 18 inches tall by approximately 24 inches wide in full sun to light shade.

Elaeagnus angustifolia 'Quick Silver'
This new strain of Russian Olive is a vigorous growing, pyramidal, spiny shrub or small tree that has a spreading habit with open branches and silvery shoots. The dense silver leaves catch the light, looking very bright in sunshine - far more so than its predecessor. In summer silvery buds produce small, yellowish-white, four-petalled flowers. The flowers are very sweetly scented and are followed by olive-like yellow fruits in the autumn. It grows to approximately 20' tall and wide. ** Currently unavailable.

The blossoms last for several weeks as the leathery blue-green leaves fill in. It grows to 3 feet tall and wide and has an impressive fall show as these leaves turn many shades of yellow, orange and red. Grows best in full sun to partial shade.
