Cotinus coggygria 'Velveteeny'
'Velveteeny' offers the same silky smooth, deep burgundy foliage with large feathery plumes of dove gray to pink blooms as it's big brother 'Royal Purple' Smoke Bush, but in a petite, dwarf form. Maturing at a mere 4' tall, 'Velveteeny' is as versatile as it is exquisite, with its compact, rounded shape and brilliant colour. It grows best in full sun to light shade in the ground.

Cotinus coggygria 'NCCO1'
A first for Proven Winners, Winecraft Black is a colour parade all season long. In spring, round leaves emerge rich purple but as summer's heat comes on, they turn a deep near-black tone and finally light up the garden in an array of reds and oranges in the fall. In early summer, large, soft panicles of bloom appear that become the misty "smoke" that smoke bushes are known for. However, unlike older smokebushes, it's natural rounded, dwarf habit means that every landscape has room one. Grows best in full sun.

|
Diervilla splendens 'El Madrigal'
Bright yellow flower clusters in spring and summer contrast with dark foliage that holds its color from first flush to frost. The foliage begins dark red and stays that way through summer, becoming a more intense red during the fall. Ideal for mixed beds and borders, it requires full sun and average soil. More compact than other cultivars, this upright, mounding variety grows only 2-3 ft. tall and wide.

Hibiscus syriacus 'Gandini Santiago'
Most Rose of Sharons become fairly wide plants as they mature. Purple Pillar is a first and totally new Rose of Sharon that naturally grows as a narrow column instead. There might be room for this in almost any garden, as it grows to just 2-3' wide by as much as 10 or more feet tall! In late summer each stem is packed with purple blooms with reddish-purple centres. It grows best in full sun and while it might make for an excellent hedge or screening plant, it is best not to site this plant where it might be wet a lot of the time.

This award winning hydrangea from Proven Winners has been bred from the same hardy Annabelle stock, but with dark burgundy red flower budsthat open to a two-toned combination of bright ruby red and silvery pink. The foliage is extra dark and the stems are stronger as well, making this new hydrangea a gem in any garden. It is a strong rebloomer that flowers on the new growth, so it is sure to bloom every year without fail. Grows to 3 to 4 feet wide tall by roughly the same wide in sun or light shade.

Hydrangea paniculata 'Kolmakilima'
This blossoms on this new hydrangea are really something to behold. Creamy blooms open with an intense lime-green centre that is quite striking - and even a bit 'funky' looking. It grows 6 to 8 feet tall by about the same wide in full sun to partial shade. Blossoms can be used for cuts, or left to mature and turn lightly pink in the fall. ** Special order

Hydrangea quercifolia 'PIIHQ-I'
Jetstream is a quantum leap in oakleaf hydrangea introductions with a dense, compact, non-flopping habit. The lustrous dark green foliage is resistant to leaf spot and turns a fantastic orange-red in autumn. Flowers, held high on strong stems, are a beautiful white aging to pink. Potentila fruticosa 'Hachliss'
Cinquefoils (also known as Potentillas) have come a long way from what you may have seen before. Like fine Italian wine, the flowers of Bella Bellissima only get better with age. Potentilla fruticosa 'Kupinpa'
The folks at Proven Winners have done it again - here is a 'better' pink cinquefoil (also known as potentilla) for northern gardens.
