This semi-evergreen is notable for the bright neon red-pink flowers that engulf this compact plant in spring. Vivid, glossy silver and dark green variegated foliage supplies colour the rest of the year. A very hardy plant that grows roughly 2 feet tall by the same wide in part sun to sunny spots.

A rich pinkish-lavender, heavily flowering form of 'PJM' rhododendron, 'Amy Cotta' is a slow growing, semi-dwarf form perfect for sites which call for a compact flowering evergreen. Dense, azalea-like foliage is smaller and darker than that of 'PJM'; plentiful ruffled blooms cover the plant in early spring. A Proven Winners selection.

This stunning rhododendron is a former Rhododendron of the Year! It offers large dark pink blossoms in mid spring, bronze winter foliage and grows at a moderate rate to 4 ft tall x 4 ft wide in partial shade.

This dense, low-spreading evergreen has an overall pale green/blue needle that is quite distinctive. Originally bred in North Dakota, and from hardy native juniper stock, this is one of the toughest evergreens available. It grows best in full sun, and once established has great drought tolerance. A compact growing evergreen that stays approximately 12 inches high and spreads to 4 or 5 feet in diameter, making it an excellent ground cover plant.

This dwarf and slow growing juniper is one of the most popular varieties for bonsai, and has a dwarf irregular upright growth habit. Soft to the touch, it offers grey green colouring and a unique form to the garden, with little work. It can grow approximately 30 inches high by 4 to 5 feet wide in full sun to light shade.

This very dwarf evergreen conifer has unique blue-green foliage with silvery undersides The dense and thickly branched habit forms a rounded globe witihout any pruning to make it so. It is disease resistant and would be considered low-maintenance, as it grows only 1 to 2 inches a year at most. It grows best in full sun to light shade.

If you look closely at each branch of this truly dwarf mugo pine, you will notice a distinctive whorl of dense needles radiating out from around a central ping, with shiny white highlights. This slow growing, easy-care shrub grows only to 2 feet high by 3 to 4 feet wide in a dense mound and will not require pruning to maintain its neat form. Perfect for rock or Zen gardens.

One of our most often requested plants, this slow growing yew is notable for its intensely golden new growth with buds in spring over much darker green older needles. Colour is more intensely displayed when it is grown in full sun. It grows slowly to 40 inches tall by 5 feet wide in a rounded form, requires minimal pruning, and never fails to draw attention.

This is by far the hardiest yew we have ever offered. Bred for the Canadian western prairies (and hardy to zone 3) it offers a dense deep green needle and moderate growth to 3 to 4 feet tall and wide. As with all yews, a yearly shearing ensures density. Those wanting a more informal look need not trim after this has been done in June.

This nearly perfectly globe shaped evergeen would make a perfect small specimen. It has finely textured, bright golden spring foliage and fantastic deep red fall colour that shows itself as a vibrant hue on the ends of the new growth. No pruning is necessary to maintain its compact, rounded form that would only grow to 2' by 2' in 10 years, and ultimately to 4 feet in diameter. It grows best in full sun.

It's hard to believe that this is a globe cedar, as the soft silvery-green almost lacy foliage gives the plant a wonderful 'cuddly' texture. It matures to a broad round globe shaped plant (hence the name) that is 3 feet tall by the same wide. A reliable plant with many uses in the landscape, it is hardy, durable and adaptable to many conditions. Grows best in full sun to light shade.
