     Evergreens 11
    Ice Breaker Korean Fir

This slow-growing miniature conifer is wonderfully distinct, developing a broad rounded form covered with unique greenish-blue and white reflexed needles as it ages. Growing only 2-3 ft. tall and wide in 10 years, it may eventually mature into a broadly pyramidal evergreen. Requiring full sun and rich, slightly acidic well-drained soil, it is an ideal specimen for small gardens and rockeries!

    Rosebud Azalea

Resembling delicate mini-roses, this long-time favourite is true to its name, with 1-2” diameter, shell pink blooms opening to rosy pink double flowers in spring. Characterized by slowly spreading, neat and tidy growth, it requires evenly moist soil in partially shaded locations. This evergreen shrub will only grow 2-3 ft. tall and wide. Striking when in bloom, it will add vibrancy to any landscape!

    Goldilocks Hinoki Cypress

This refined conifer has a straight central leader and sturdy trunk with dense branches covered with zippy, bright lemon yellow foliage! It could grow 12-15 inches per year to 20 ft. tall and 15 ft. wide in sun or partial shade. Truly a large, dramatic specimen! Best in full sun in a sheltered location.

    North Pole White Spruce

White spruce is a durable and relatively fast growing native tree. This hardy, narrow conifer selection with its pastel grey-green colour makes a splendid accent specimen growing to about 12 ft. tall but only 4 ft. wide in full sun. Ideal for narrow lots when a strong vertical statement is desired. A very new variety.

    Slenderina Weeping Blue Spruce

Truly living up to its name, ‘Slenderina’ is more upright than wide, gracefully weeping from a central structure with branches that are covered with electric blue needles. It grows 12 ft. tall and 10-15 ft. wide in 20 years at about 8-10 inches per year and requires full sun and well-drained soil. Rather Seuss-like, it adds whimsy to any display garden!

    Stowe Pillar White Pine

When you need a tall, slender conifer, the extremely hardy Stowe Pillar Pine with its silvery-blue needles may be the answer! Growing 8-15 ft. tall but only 3 ft. wide, it grows in a narrow column with dense branches that point up rather than out, making it much less susceptible to snow damage. Tolerant of sun or light shade, it does best in well-drained soil.

    Primo Cedar

This hardy, upright dwarf cedar is truly a garden breakthrough! Rich, deep green foliage twists and turns on a narrow, irregular yet sculpturally interesting frame. Slow growing at only 3-5 inches per year, it eventually will reach 4 ft. tall but only 12 inches wide. Best in full sun, it is an ideal variety for small gardens and 'mini-scapes'!

    Tater Tot Cedar

Tater Tot offers a neat rounded form that can be placed almost anywhere in the garden. It naturally grows as a tidy little globe of fragrant, fan-like emerald green evergreen foliage to roughly 2 feet tall by the same wide. It's quite tolerant of shade so you can plant it just about anywhere and enjoy year-round beauty from this easy care native shrub.

    Maureen Columnar Yew

This slow-growing upright evergreen has a narrow, compact form covered in almost black-green needles. It prefers morning sun, but afternoon shade and well drained soil, Growing only 6 ft. tall but only 18 inches wide in 10 years, this choice cultivar is ideal for narrow spaces, rockeries, mazes and formal gardens!

    Majestic Pillar Yew

If you wish a slender tall accent plant, 'Majestic Pillar' could be an ideal choice! Slow growing, this versatile yew tolerates both formal pruning and being allowed to grow naturally for a softer textured appearance. Small, round, fleshy red berries add appeal. While it grows only 3-4 ft. wide, it can reach 8-9 ft. tall in sun or shade. Ideal for hedges, foundation plantings and topiary uses.

    Dwarf Golden Japanese Yew

The new growth on this dwarf evergreen makes a dramatic golden appearance each spring before deepening to goes dark green. The colour is most intense in full sun, but it will tolerate light shade as well. Growing only 2 ft. tall, it could spread 6 ft. or more at 3-6 inches per year. Requiring minimal pruning, this variety will always make a bold statement in your garden!.

    Nova Columnar Yew

This dense evergreen has soft yellow new growth which deepens to a rich deep green. While naturally shaggy, it takes pruning extremely well, growing 6-8 ft. tall with a narrow spread of only 3 ft. wide.  Excellent for foundation plantings and barriers, it bears red berries in the fall. Remarkably tolerant of urban air and pollution, it does well in sun or shade!

    Moon Frost Hemlock

This variegated, round shrubby hemlock has a creamy white colour on new twigs that is especially intense in fall and winter. Could grow to 3 feet in 10 years at a slow pace. Annual shearing in spring before the flush of growth will maintain form and colour. Requires shade and moist, cool soil.
