     Hybrid Tea Roses

Hybrid tea roses are by far the most popular type of rose. Their blossoms are of the classic shape that we would find at a florist. To cultivate hybrid tea roses successfully requires a location with a minimum of 6 hours direct sunlight, a rich and well drained soil and deep careful watering. The first hybrid tea rose was 'La France', introduced by a French breeder in 1867. Thousands of cultivars exist today.
