THIS WILL MAKE A NOTICEABLE IMPROVEMENT!
SO WHAT IS IT?
It's a complete year long fertilizer program for anyone to achieve professional results by doing it themselves. It is designed for a 3000 sq. ft. lawn area and includes 6 applications of lawn fertilizer throughout the year. Unlike similar 'package' programs, it uses the latest granular slow-release fertilizer technology to deliver a complete and balanced feeding, including micronutrients and phosphorus, to ensure strong growth. The primary nitrogen source is UMAXX stabilized nitrogen, which is eco-friendly as it is the only fertilizer available to homeowners to include two enzyme inhibitors that limit nitrogen loss due to volatilization to the atmosphere as well as loss due to leaching to the groundwater. This exclusive slow-release 28-4-12 fertilizer with 1% ironand micronutrients feeds equally well regardless of weather or soil temperature, will deepen turf colour, and is entirely used up by the turf. It can be used in fall to dormant feed, and what isn't used by your turf will be retained in the soil over the winter for later use in early spring.
The summer fertilizer component of this program is a bio-based organic slow release golf-course fertilizer that can be applied at any temperature. Exclusively available in this program, it is safe for pets and kids, has a 70% organic matter content that will improve drought tolerance and stimulate microbial action and is enriched with 2% iron for great turf colour. It will aid in minimizing 6 different turf diseases with over 6 billion beneficial bacteria in every bag, naturally reduce the amount of thatch, and will give controlled growth without additional summer mowing work for you.

A weed control measure is not part of this program, as many do not require it.
Weed control measures are available separately - see our staff for details.
The program will increase turf density, and help to minimize weed encroachment.
There remain a number of insects that can cause injury to turf.
The two most well-known culprits are European Chafer larvae and Chinch bug.
As the life cycles vary dependent on the insect, any control measure used needs to work within the appropriate time to control the pest.
Because of this, control measures are not included in this program.
We can assist you in store with any turf insect inquiry.
Every plant requires water, and turf is no exception.
In general, the deeper and more extensive the root system, the greater is the capacity for the turfgrass plant to draw moisture.
This program includes some phosphorus, which is a known key nutrient to assist in better root growth.
Roots go deep to find water, so the 'deeper' any moisture is (whether by rain or by you), the better ultimately it will be for the grass plant.
A lawn should receive about 1 inch of water a week to maintain healthy vigour.
When you cut the grass, each grass plant will produce new replacement shoots as a result. Growth requires moisture to produce new cells in the stems.
So when there is a moisture deficiency, the grass will struggle to replace those shoots. If there has been a long dry spell, forgo mowing your lawn to prevent this.
Our program provides nutrients to help the grass produce new shoots, but it may be necessary to add sufficient moisture to see maximum benefit. DORMANCY
It's not uncommon for grass under moisture stress to turn brown in the summer, and go into dormancy.
If this is your plan - just remember a grass under stress going into dormancy will be much more difficult to bring well out of dormancy.
This program assists you by ensuring that it is well fed prior to dormancy, and there is gentle fertilization during the warmest part of the year.
Please remember that even the best turf grass crowns can not go indefinitely without ANY moisture. Watering after a few weeks without rain will not bring the lawn out of dormancy, but it may help keep the crowns from dying. Those will lawns on sandy soils already know that some moisture is necessary.
