Grobe's Christmas Express
|
No.. it's not a train! It's just a different way to see Grobe's Christmas Tree Country
Please take a moment to read all the tabs below to see what we've done!
TO ALL FOLKS VISITING GROBE'S CHRISTMAS TREE COUNTRY
To try to keep all visitors and staff safe during the pandemic, we completely changed our store access, it's layout, displays, and checkout process to provide more space while indoors. If it's been a little while since you have visited us at Christmas, please know that what you may have 'done here before' will be different. We ask for your patience and a little Christmas spirit as you travel GROBE'S CHRISTMAS EXPRESS (Starting Saturday November 16th).
PLEASE PLAN YOUR VISIT. CLICK HERE to DOWNLOAD THE GROBE CHRISTMAS EXPRESS MAP FIRST for a guide to visiting and the locations where popular items are found. Clicking on the pale pink tabs above will also show you more of what is at each one.
During our busiest times, our FRONT GATE is the CHRISTMAS EXPRESS entrance. PLEASE DRESS WARMLY for there is a little outdoor walking necessary.
Until directed otherwise by health authorities, MASKS remain OPTIONAL for ALL visitors - but as it's cold OUTSIDE...they might actually help you feel the WARMTH of Christmas even sooner! Please respect all who wish to be masked.
PLEASE LET ALL FAMILY MEMBERS KNOW that we no longer offer complimentary treats to consume on site. If you bring your own, remember that washroom access is limited and should be considered for emergencies only.
We are sorry - but NO PETS except AODA certified service animals are permitted entry.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AND WE WISH YOU ALL A SAFE AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Grobe's Christmas Express is both easy and fun!
You will 'board' via our gated outdoor entrance (see map and image). Once 'on track' you will find indoor STATIONS found upon the Express route, and a few surprises too.
Each indoor STATION will offer different sights and items - and as the EXPRESS ROUTE IS ONE WAY ONLY DURING PEAK TIMES - we ask that you download and read our map and guide BEFORE VISITING.
CLICK ON THE PALE PINK STATION TABS ABOVE SO THAT YOU WILL SEE WHAT TO EXPECT.

STATION #1 - GIFT SHOP AREA
|
STATION #1 has our popular Gift Shop - but there have been some changes to shopping here. These include:
1) It's possible to select items here, and then either pay and leave directly, OR have them set aside and PAY after visiting the other stations.
2) While it has a till station - it's NO LONGER THE ONLY WAY to check out.
3) It will NOT be possible to go from STATION #1 directly to STATION #4 during our peak times (weekends). If you are not checking out, please exit STATION #1 the same way you entered it (through our gift shop's REAR door).
4) Please know that popular items like Christmas lights, Ribbon, Cushions, Skirts, and our enormous selection of Christmas Ornaments are NOT found in the gift shop. We've moved them to Station #4 where there is more room and space to browse them.
BEAR IN MIND THAT WITH THE ITEMS FOUND HERE - SANTA DOES FIND AND TAKE THEM OVER TIME.
Remember, however, that ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
|
STATION #2 - FRESH AND POTTED TREES
|
STATION #2 is where you will find hundreds of the very best fresh cut Christmas trees. Make your selection from Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Douglas Fir, Scotch Pine and White Pine (all while supplies last). Each is displayed indoors in our well-lit, vented greenhouse with wide long aisles for you to get a 'good look' while not fighting wind, rain, snow and ice.
We also have a wide selection of fresh live Christmas trees too. These are not fresh dug and stuck in a pot, but rather fully rooted plants that have the best chance to handle the stresses of being indoors at Christmas, and planted outside thereafter. The best way on how to do this that we have found can be downloaded here.
You will also find here a great selection of fresh evergreen wreaths as well, in Fir, Cedar and Pine.
|
STATION #3 - DECORATING CENTRE
|
STATION #3 has many of the elements you might look to use for decorating your home at Christmas.
Items found here include:
- fresh evergreen garlands and roping
- pine cones of different sizes and styles
- fresh boughs and branches of all kinds
- decorative 'bling' and picks for DIY urns and pots
- pre-made decorative urn inserts
- decorative pots
- birch poles
|
STATION #4 - THE GREAT HALL
|
STATION #4 has lots going on and you will want to see it! But there are a few things you should know...
1) If you have a fresh cut Christmas Tree, just inside Station #4 is our Tagging Station, where your tree will receive a claim check tag and where it will be put on a trolley to take out to Bigfoot's Baling Station. Your tree will be taken from you at this point, to be claimed after 'The Last Stop' from the baling station. If you require the tree to have it's butt end cut off, please indicate that to a conductor here, but remember... fresh cuts last only about an hour or so... knowing when you are putting it up, and how long the tree will last indoors is critical!
2) If you have fresh greens, garlands or urn inserts from Station #3, this same Tagging Station is where these will be collected too.
2) You will find many popular items on either side of the Station#4 hall. These include ornaments, tree skirts, ribbons, bows, Christmas lights, tree stands, artificial wreaths and garlands and many other things too.
3) Please be mindful of the trolley way as you progress to 'The Last Stop'.
4) All items to be purchased, including anything held from Station #1 that you are reclaiming, will be settled at 'The Last Stop'.
REMEMBER... WHEN YOU REACH 'THE LAST STOP', THE ONLY WAY FORWARD... IS HOME !
(or.. you can travel it again!)
